1. Mulch Alternative
LTR Products has rolled out Pinnacle Rubber Mulch, an alternative to traditional wood mulch for landscaping and playground surfacing. Recycled rubber mulch remains bright and plush for years with minimal maintenance. Pinnacle is resistant to wind and water erosion, bug and rodent infestation, fading caused by sunlight and decomposition, and it will not compress. As safety surfacing, a 6-inch layer will cushion a child’s fall from as high as 12 feet. It is clean, and minimizes airborne dust and particles. Available in various colors.

3. New Drainage System
Deck-O-Seal, a division of W.R. Meadows, Inc., offers the Deck-O-Drain, a drainage system for concrete pool decks. It collects and carries water away from pool decks and other patio areas. Made of PVC, the system resists wear and is noncorrosive. The nondirectional design eliminates the need for right or left fittings. One attachment can be used for both by simply facing it in the direction needed. A flat contour profile allows a tight fit against walls. The system installs easily, with no trenches to dig or deep excavations to make. It can be used as a screed rail in final flatwork preparation.
